§ 1 Copyright Ownership
Authors retain full copyright of their work published in JMMBS.
By submitting and publishing in JMMBS, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual right to publish, distribute, display, archive, and index the article in print and electronic formats.
Copyright remains with the author(s) without restriction.
§ 2 Open Access Policy
JMMBS is a fully open-access journal. All published articles are immediately and permanently free to read, download, copy, distribute, and share without subscription or paywall barriers.
There are no embargo periods. Open access is applied at the moment of publication.
§ 3 Licensing Terms
Unless otherwise stated, all articles are published under the:
Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0)
This licence permits the following in any medium or format, provided appropriate credit is given:
- Use and reading
- Distribution and sharing
- Reproduction and copying
- Adaptation and transformation
- Commercial reuse
Attribution Requirements
- Cite the author(s) by name
- Cite the article title
- Cite the journal name — JMMBS
- Provide a link to the CC BY 4.0 licence
- Indicate if changes were made to the original work
§ 4 Third-Party Material
Third-party material included in articles (e.g., figures, images, datasets) is covered by the article's Creative Commons licence unless otherwise indicated in a credit line.
If material is excluded from the CC BY 4.0 licence, users must obtain permission directly from the copyright holder. Such exclusions will be clearly indicated in the published article.
Authors are responsible for securing all appropriate permissions prior to submission and publication.
§ 5 Author Responsibilities
Authors must ensure the following prior to and at submission:
- The submitted work is original and does not infringe any existing copyright.
- All co-authors approve the submission and are in agreement with the licensing terms.
- Any prior dissemination (e.g., preprints, conference abstracts) has been disclosed to the editorial office.
- No copyright infringement has occurred with respect to text, figures, data, or any other incorporated material.
§ 6 Archiving & Preservation
JMMBS reserves the right to archive and preserve published content in digital repositories, indexing databases, and long-term preservation systems — including Zenodo (CERN) — to ensure permanent accessibility and scholarly continuity.
Authors are encouraged to self-archive the final published version in institutional or subject repositories. See the Archiving Policy for full details.
§ 7 Policy Updates
This policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in best practice or applicable law. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued submission to the journal constitutes acceptance of the current policy.
